The eye mask is filled with 180 grams of weighted glass beads which provide stability to the area of placement.Not all eye masks are the same and this eye mask by Mellow is definitely a step above all others. Although it’s not without a few minor flaws. It’s not adjustable so if you have an extra large head, this may not be comfortable for you. It may feel constricting if it’s too tight. In this case, perhaps a few Velcro tabs would've made it the perfect mask. For me, I have an average to small size female head so it fits perfectly to a "T."I’ve tried so many different eye masks and items to provide a darkened environment for sleeping, even grabbing a tee shirt snd throwing it over my eyes, but nothing seemed to be as effective as this eye mask. This mask is weighted with the glass balls but you don’t feel them when it’s on your eyes, and they don’t create any noise. And because of the weight, it stays perfectly in place during your nightly slumber.There’s a very plush soft side to the mask which is a warming side and then if you reverse it, there’s a cooling silky fabric side. The Mellow brand products have a strong focus on both comfort and function and this eye mask is right in line with that. The eye mask is also completely washable which is great because I already got mascara on it but it washed right out. I’m super happy with this eye mask and when you consider the comfort, quality and function of it, it’s a great value and I can confidently recommend it.
I guess I have a noggin the size of Megamind's because this fits me perfectly. I'm a chronic flipper and turner when I sleep. I bury my face in the pillow and switch between sleeping on my stomach, sides, and back, and this has not slipped off once.It blocks out light completely. The glass beads inside give it a nice weighted feel over my eyes, and the stitching is well done with no loose threads.The reversible design is a nice bonus. The cooling side actually feels cool and doesn't make my face sweaty or too warm. Maybe it's a placebo effect, but I slept for almost 11 hours the first night I used it.My only complaint is the price. It's definitely on the expensive side, and I probably wouldn't have bought it otherwise.
I've bought a number of sleep masks, including some that cost five times as much as this one. And yet this is my favorite! It blocks light incredibly well, is very comfortable and adjustable, and is hands down the best sleep mask I've ever used.

I've used similar sleep masks for years now. The one I've been using is fine, though light tends to seep in around the nose bridge area. Now it's falling apart and time to replace. So I ordered this LitBear sleeper mask and tried it last night. All I can say is, PERFECT! It soft and just thick enough, blocks all the light, provides full coverage, has small recessed areas inside the mask for the eyes, and is adjustable. So glad I found this one. I recommend.

I am going through perimenopause and have a lot of trouble sleeping. This keeps me from waking up with the sun. If it comes off at night at all and I see a little sun come through early morning I always put it back on and go right back to sleep. I never saw myself as someone to use one regularly but here I am :)
The slightest bit of light wakes me up and my husband gets up 2 hours before me and turns on the lights in the house. I used to get upset because then I was awake - hours before I needed to be (or wanted to be). With this mask I can now sleep through his turning on the lights. As someone who’s a back and side sleeper, this mask works for both positions. I don’t find that it moves around as I sleep and switch from my back to either of my sides. I like that each eye has a position in the mask and that each area is deep enough for my eyelashes. The padding around the nose ensures that no light is sneaking in. If you’re serious about your sleep, this is your mask!
I love this; it has a ridge that lifts it and provides eye protection, so it's more comfortable to wear. I love it and wear it every night. It's a great price for such a lux feeling sleepmask, and I am a side sleeper, so it does work well for us side sleepers.
I absolutely love this thing. I've tried numerous sleep masks, but some light always seems to leak in. Not this one. I love the way the nose rest actually blocks out light without resorting to metal bars or weird loose cloths, so it's quite comfortable. The fact it wraps around the side of the head makes it all the more effective and adds staying power while you're jostling around in your sleep. Also, it had to stay in a car in the Texas sun for about a week, which usually causes cloth material to shrink like my shirt did, but this mask still fits just fine. If I ever get another sleep mask, it'll be another one of these.
I've tried multiple different sleep masks, mainly because they are all around the $10 - $20 range. This one is clearly the best. It's light, extra wide, and very soft. I can open my eyes, and my lashes don't hit the mask. The other ones have too much padding and isn't as soft when it conforms to my face. I'm a side sleeper, with the adjustable strap, I can tightness or loosen it for perfect comfort!I'd recommend getting a bright color for the outer part. It won't be an issue in the dark and can easily be found if you accidentally take it off somewhere.

My wife was called in to the hospital to be induced. I am a terrible sleeper, for instance if there is any light or noise I have all kinds of trouble. Anyways you can imagine what a hospital room is like for two nights leading up to a birth morning.I bought this because of a review, washed it by hand as instructed, dried it, and took it to the hospital for our "lovely" weekend. By the time each night came, I would put this on, and being quite tired but in a bright/lous hospital room with nurses constantly coming in and out, these exceeded expectations. I was able to sleep for hours on end because this sleep mask was so effective.100% recommend for any situation.
My new fav sleep mask! I've never had a better one. It completely seals out all light - and I mean ALL LIGHT! Super comfortable and adjustable. Soft. No weird smells out of the box. Pro tip: If you have longer hair, part your hair in half from top to bottom (like you're putting your hair up half-way in a barrette) then put the strap under your top layer of hair and smooth your hair back down over it. I've worn this every night for a few years now and it's been wonderous. Soft cushioning and smooth fabric - it melts away from my awareness very quickly each night.I have a pronounced nose, and my issue previously was other types had reached too low. This one? It doesn't sit low on my nose bridge, so it doesn't impair my nose-breathing. The middle sits more on the bone of my nose bridge, so my airways stay open. I sleep in all positions, and this doesn't squash my eyes when I'm on my belly. It may take some pulling here and there so that that cushion sits on my cheekbones and not my eyes, but that is the same as tugging a blanket around myself better: unconsciously done, basically.This mask stays on my head fairly well during my tossing and turning. Recently, I've been waking up more often with it off, having slipped in the night. Since I've had it so long, the elastic is starting to not stretch as well as it used to, but that's to be expected with elastics. I find no fault in that, especially given my aggressive sleeping style.The mask itself has ZERO signs of wear or tear - nearly perfect, besides the permanent creases from my face lol. Nothing has frayed, which astounds me. (Knock on wood lol)I travel with it often, and probably need a second one in case this one doesn't get found next time it slips between the bed and the wall lol!Extremely happy and proud of my purchase. Should my current one get lost, I will 100% reorder this exact one again.
